HOBY & NICOLAS – the owners

Born and raised in Strasbourg, Nicolas has spent his entire childhood in Alsace and his summers in Italy. He then discovered quickly a growing passion for travelling thanks to his father. After one year living in Boston, Nicolas decided to settle in Shanghai in China, where he met his wife Hoby, also French, born and raised in Toulouse.

Sharing the same passion, Nico and Hoby travelled across a great part of Asia, visiting remote provinces of China and discovering some of the most beautiful spots on earth such as Thailand and the Philippines.

After 8-9 years lived in China, a feeling to get closer to the family and friends and also to return to the « French life » was getting very strong that they took the decision to go back and settle in Alsace. They then launched their project of creating their own bed & breakfast under the name of La Villa du Coteau.

With this new adventure, Nicolas and Hoby wish to warmly welcome people from all around the world in their house freshly renovated and make sure they spend a pleasant and unforgettable stay in Alsace, a rich region with its postcard landscapes and its wine and food universe!
